The West Belfast community has been left devastated after a mother and daughter, Annmarie and Bridin McCann, passed away peacefully just four days apart. Bridin died on November 30, 2025, followed by her mother Annmarie on December 4, 2025.
Mallon Funeral Directors shared a tribute, noting that Annmarie McCann (née Mervyn) died surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Patsy, adored mother to Francine, Patrick, Carleen, and the late Bridin, and a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother.
Bridin McCann, too, passed peacefully, leaving behind her children Caoimhe and Conall, and siblings Francine, Patrick, and Carleen. The family invited friends and community members to pay their respects at their home before the joint funeral.
The funeral for both Annmarie and Bridin is scheduled for Monday, December 8, with a 10:00 am Requiem Mass at The Church of the Nativity, followed by burial at Milltown Cemetery.
Social media has seen an outpouring of grief, with heartfelt condolences and prayers for the McCann family during this profoundly difficult time.
