In a chilling incident highlighting a disturbing trend, a woman physiotherapist from Moradabad, Reena Sindhu, 36, has been arrested along with her boyfriend Paritosh Kumar from Bijnor for the brutal murder of her husband, 56-year-old Ravindra Kumar.
The victim was allegedly plied with alcohol and repeatedly struck with a shovel, resulting in his gruesome death. Following the murder, his body was transported to Uttarakhand and disposed of in forests near Kotdwar.
Reena, who ran a physiotherapy center from their three-story house in Ramganga Vihar, reportedly planned the murder to seize control of Ravindra’s Rs3 crore property. The crime came to light after Ravindra’s body was discovered on June 5 and identified by his brother Rajesh Kumar, who filed a complaint.
CCTV footage from Kotdwar road played a crucial role, showing a suspicious car transporting the body. Police investigations revealed that the murder was meticulously planned on May 31, when the couple lured Ravindra to Paritosh’s house, intoxicated him, and launched the fatal attack before dumping the body in the forest.
This case is part of an alarming rise in incidents where wives, with the help of lovers, resort to extreme violence to eliminate their husbands, often driven by illicit relationships and property motives.
