by Sophia Bennett

A suspect has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal shooting on Pittsburgh’s South Side last month.

Steve Robertson, 33, died at the hospital after being shot in the neck along East Carson Street. According to a criminal complaint, Moniem Strothers, 26, has been taken into custody and charged with criminal homicide along with additional related offenses.

Court documents indicate that an arrest warrant was issued over the weekend, and Strothers was apprehended on Monday.

Investigators said video footage captured the shooting and, along with data from license plate readers, helped track down a vehicle that fled the scene. Police identified Strothers as the driver.

Strothers has been denied bail and is currently being held at the Allegheny County Jail.
