A 30-year-old man from Bopal, Ahmedabad, was arrested on Wednesday after his car allegedly struck a two-wheeler, resulting in the death of a 25-year-old woman in Gandhinagar on Tuesday, police confirmed.
The accused, identified as Mohit Surendra Gupta, was taken into custody by officers from Adalaj Police Station in Gandhinagar. The tragic accident claimed the life of the woman, whose identity has not yet been publicly disclosed.
According to officials, Gupta was arrested within 24 hours of the incident following a swift investigation. The case has triggered local concerns about road safety and rash driving.
Further legal proceedings are underway, and authorities are also investigating whether negligence or overspeeding played a role in the fatal collision.
