In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, the Commissioner’s Task Force (West Zone) in coordination with Masab Tank Police, busted an interstate narcotics racket in Hyderabad. A total of eight individuals were arrested, including two main peddlers, four sub-peddlers, and two consumers. The gang was involved in the sale and distribution of hash oil and ganja, with seized contraband valued at Rs6.5 lakh.

Mohammed Faizan (22) – Interstate drug peddler, sourced drugs from Nagpur
Yelagada Navya (25) – Supplier, found with 71 boxes of hash oil
Kundurthi Veerachary (22) – Sub-peddler
Sam Ajay Kumar (20) – Sub-peddler
Vemula Harshith (20) – Sub-peddler
Mohammed Sameer (20) – Sub-peddler
Sam Vijay Kumar (20) – Consumer
Syed Murthuza Ali Hussain (35) – Consumer
The operation began after police received credible information about drug activity near the Pension Office Bus Stop in Masab Tank. Officers apprehended four individuals: Faizan, Sameer, Harshith, and Syed Murthuza. A search led to the recovery of hash oil, charas, and 175 grams of ganja, with some of the contraband hidden in Faizan’s Yamaha RX100 motorcycle.
Faizan admitted he sourced the drugs from Nagpur and had purchased hash oil from Harshith and Sameer for Rs3,000. During questioning, Sameer revealed that he had procured the drugs from Sam Ajay Kumar and Kundurthi Veerachary, who were later arrested along with consumer Sam Vijay Kumar.
Further leads directed police to Navya, a resident of Andhra Pradesh, who was found in possession of 71 small boxes of hash oil. She confessed that she was a key supplier in the chain.
A case has been registered under the NDPS Act, and further investigation is ongoing to trace other links in the network.
