MK Tamilagan Arrested for Rs 9.25 Lakh Cyber Fraud in Khammam

Accused Lured Victim with Fake Online Job and Investments

Cybercrime police in Khammam have arrested a cybercriminal from Hyderabad for allegedly cheating a local man of Rs9.25 lakh under the guise of offering an online job and investment opportunities.

Cybercrime DSP Ch RV Phaneendar confirmed that the accused, MK Tamilagan of Amberpet, Hyderabad, along with his associates, lured the victim by promising attractive online employment and returns on investments. Believing the offer to be genuine, the victim transferred Rs9.25 lakh, which was traced to bank accounts linked to the accused.

The case was officially registered at the Khammam Cybercrime Police Station. During the course of the investigation, it became evident that the fraudulent transactions had been systematically orchestrated and that the accused was part of a wider cyber scam network.

Following a swift probe, Khammam police arrested MK Tamilagan and produced him before the court.

Commissioner of Police Sunil Dutt commended CI G Ranjith Kumar, SI M Vijay Kumar, and constables YV Krishna Rao and T Kishan Rao for their efforts in nabbing the accused and bringing the case to light.
