On Tuesday, Bhagalpur police arrested Mithilesh Yadav alias Sabo Yadav and his two sons, Vishal Kumar and Hitler, from Mansar village in the Madhusudanpur police station area. The family was involved in illegal drug peddling and arms trafficking.
Authorities recovered 234 grams of brown sugar, two country-made revolvers, six live cartridges, three motorcycles, a digital weighing machine, and Rs 4.38 lakh in cash. Additional incriminating documents were also seized during the raid.
SSP Hriday Kant stated that following a classified tip-off, a team led by the DSP (City-II), the SHO of Madhusudanpur police station, and intelligence personnel conducted surveillance and arrested the accused.
An FIR has been registered, and all three accused have been forwarded to jail. Police are continuing their investigation to identify other members involved in the drug and arms supply network.
