COLUMBUS COUNTY, N.C. — Two sisters are behind bars after Columbus County Sheriff’s deputies discovered narcotics and drug-related items at a residence on Page’s Mill Road in Cerro Gordo.
Following multiple community complaints and an in-depth investigation using surveillance and undercover operations, detectives confirmed that illegal drug activity was taking place at the home.
On April 16, investigators executed a search and seized various controlled substances, digital scales, packaging materials, and other drug paraphernalia.
The suspects, identified as Miranda Lynn Godwin, 37, and Crystal Leanne Godwin, 39, were arrested at the scene.

Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver Schedule II controlled substance
Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver Schedule III controlled substance
Felony possession of cocaine
Maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for controlled substances
Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia
Bond: $10,500
Crystal Leanne Godwin
Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver Schedule II controlled substance
Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver Schedule III controlled substance
Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia
Bond: $10,000
The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office says this arrest is part of an ongoing effort to combat drug-related crimes in the area.
