Dillon Peter-Cody Clemens, 38, and Jacob Seth Cobb, 30, two brothers from Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, pleaded guilty on January 21, 2025, to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Both men were involved in a drug trafficking operation that led to their arrest after a traffic stop in Royalton, Minnesota, in June 2024. During the stop, State Patrol officers discovered one pound of methamphetamine in their vehicle, leading to the federal charges.
This is not the first time the two men have faced serious charges. In 2012, Jacob Cobb, then 18, was convicted of second-degree murder for the killing of their mother, Tamara Lee Mason, in Alberta, Minnesota. Clemens, at 25, was convicted of being an accomplice after the fact to the murder. The two men, along with their brother Andrew Quinton Cobb, were implicated in the homicide, which involved strangling and asphyxiating their mother.
Jacob Cobb received a 15-year sentence for his role in the murder, while Dillon Clemens was sentenced to nearly 8 years. A subsequent traffic stop in 2024 revealed both men had revoked driver’s licenses and recent criminal histories, including drug-related charges.
Both Clemens and Cobb now face potential prison sentences in the federal drug case, with sentencing hearings scheduled for a later date. The third brother, Andrew Cobb, had his charges reduced to time already served for his involvement in the murder.
Authorities have confirmed that these same individuals are involved in both the murder conviction and the federal drug conspiracy case, further complicating their criminal histories.
