Mingo Pasillas Arrested for Manhattan Convenience Store Burglary

Suspect held on $20K bond after Short Stop break-in

Authorities responded to two burglaries in Manhattan on Tuesday.

According to the Riley County Police Department, a suspect broke into the Short Stop convenience store on South Port Drive by climbing through the drive-thru window and stealing cigarettes.

Shortly after, police arrested 31-year-old Mingo Pasillas of Manhattan. He was charged with aggravated burglary and is currently held in the Pottawatomie County Jail on a $20,000 bond.

Officers also investigated a break-in at the Dairy Queen on Anderson Avenue. Authorities report a suspect broke a window to gain entry and attempted to open a safe, causing approximately $1,200 in damage.
