LODI, California – Four suspects were arrested this week after stealing more than $6,000 worth of cosmetics from local stores in Lodi. The thefts occurred at CVS and Target, prompting a swift response from law enforcement.
On Thursday, the Lodi Police Department received a report of multiple suspects stealing large quantities of cosmetic items from the CVS on Kettleman Lane. However, by the time officers arrived, the suspects had already fled the scene.
Less than an hour later, police responded to another call at the nearby Target, where a similar theft was taking place. This time, deputies from the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, working in unmarked vehicles, were able to track the suspects. Once marked vehicles arrived, the suspects were pulled over and identified as 32-year-old Milton Williams, 20-year-old Julayia Wright, 20-year-old Stevenie Clark, and 22-year-old Paris White, all hailing from Sacramento and Elk Grove.
A search of the suspects’ vehicle led to the recovery of more than $5,000 worth of stolen merchandise from CVS and Target. In addition, officers found $1,300 worth of goods from two other unreported thefts.
The four suspects were arrested and charged with grand theft and conspiracy. Police are continuing their investigation into the thefts and any potential links to other crimes in the area.
