LAKE WALES, Fla. — Mihaela Mallen, 49, has been arrested following a fatal stabbing that occurred at a Lake Wales home on Saturday.
Around 6:30 a.m., officers from the Lake Wales Police Department responded to a stabbing call at a residence on Ashton Palms Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered a 71-year-old man suffering from a stab wound to the chest. The victim was rushed to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Investigators identified Mallen as the suspect and took her into custody. She has been charged with second-degree murder.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing, with authorities continuing to gather details.
