LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KATV) — The husband of missing woman Robyn DeSort was booked into the Saline County Jail on Wednesday morning, adding another layer to an already troubling investigation.
Michael Robert-Weser, 51, is currently being held on misdemeanor charges of possessing drug paraphernalia and theft of property.
Robyn DeSort and her neighbor Denise Rhodes were last seen on July 8, reportedly en route to Eureka Springs. Their sudden disappearance triggered a widespread search effort involving multiple law enforcement agencies.
Compounding the case, Rhodes’ home was found burned down, and her GMC Yukon was discovered abandoned in Bauxite. These developments have escalated concerns around the case and intensified scrutiny on Robert-Weser.
Notably, Michael Robert-Weser has a prior criminal record. In a 2023 incident, he was charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault, domestic battery, and terroristic threatening. He later pleaded guilty to all but the kidnapping charge, which was dropped. He was sentenced to three years’ probation on July 7, 2024 — one day before Robyn and Denise vanished.
Authorities have not stated whether his recent arrest is directly connected to the women’s disappearance, but the investigation remains active and ongoing.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Saline County authorities.
