Michael Reinel Arrested for Homicide in North Port Shooting

North Port, Fla. (WWSB) – A North Port man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of 40-year-old Zachary Lucas.

On Thursday evening, just before 9:30 p.m., police responded to a shooting in the 8000 block of Rocliff Avenue. Lucas had been shot multiple times and was later pronounced dead.

Following an investigation, authorities arrested 26-year-old Michael Reinel and charged him with homicide. Reinel was booked into the Sarasota County Jail on Friday morning and is currently being held without bond.
