BEULAVILLE, N.C. – A routine traffic stop in Beulaville led to the arrest of two convicted felons after officers uncovered drugs, firearms, and cash in their vehicle.
On Saturday, May 17, a Beulaville Police Officer stopped a vehicle on South NC 41/111 Highway. During the search, police found a Stoeger 9mm handgun, roughly 37 grams of methamphetamine, approximately 3 grams of a suspected cocaine/fentanyl mixture, $1,070 in U.S. currency, and various drug paraphernalia.
Authorities identified the vehicle’s occupants as Michael Raynor (driver) and Harvey Sholar (passenger), both of whom are convicted felons. They were taken into custody and transported to the Duplin County Magistrate’s Office.
Michael Raynor’s charges include:
Three counts of trafficking methamphetamine
PWIMSD Schedule II
Maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances
Three counts of felony possession of Schedule II
Possession of a firearm by a felon
Possession of drug paraphernalia
He is currently held without bond due to prior pending charges.
Harvey Sholar’s charges include:
Three counts of trafficking methamphetamine
PWIMSD Schedule II
Three counts of felony possession of Schedule II
Possession of a firearm by a felon
Possession of drug paraphernalia
He is being held in the Duplin County Jail under a $35,000 secured bond.
