NEWARK, DE – A 65-year-old Kansas man was arrested by Delaware State Police on February 28, 2025, following an alleged burglary at Reybold Homes on Pulaski Highway.
Authorities responded to reports of a man on the roof of the business at around 1 p.m., removing metal materials and dropping them near a parked vehicle. Property management confirmed that no one had authorized access to the location.
Suspect Identified as Michael Paulino
When confronted by officers, the suspect attempted to conceal his identity by providing a false name. However, police were able to confirm his identity as Michael Paulino of Gardner, Kansas, using a Kansas ID card and a computer check.
A search of Paulino’s belongings revealed burglary tools, including a crowbar and metal clippers, which he allegedly used to remove the metal from the site.
Charges and Legal Proceedings
Paulino was taken into custody and transported to Troop 2 for processing. Authorities also discovered he had two active capiases in addition to the following charges:
Burglary Third Degree (Felony)
Possession of Burglar Tools (Felony)
Providing False Statement to Law Enforcement (Felony)
Theft Under $1,500
