Michael Donaldson Arrested in Sterling Burglary Case

Man, 28, charged with burglary, criminal damage to property

Michael Donaldson, 28, has been arrested in connection with a burglary that took place in Sterling last November. Donaldson, who faces charges of burglary and criminal damage to property, is currently being held in the Whiteside County Jail pending a detention hearing.

The charges stem from a November 18, 2024, incident at Northend Liquor, located at 208 W. Miller Road. Sterling Police responded to the scene around 4:36 a.m. after receiving a report of a burglary and property damage. Upon arrival, officers discovered forced entry into the business and damage inside.
