ORANGE CITY — Megan Elizabeth Liberato, 37, was arrested Thursday, June 12, on charges of fourth-degree theft, after allegedly stealing multiple items from Dollar Fresh in Orange City over several months.
According to the Orange City Police Department, Liberato took items without paying for them between January 1 and April 23. Security camera footage captured her in 13 separate videos bypassing the cash registers and leaving the store without paying.
The total value of the stolen items is estimated at $543.91. Under state law, fourth-degree theft applies when the stolen property’s value is between $301 and $750.
Liberato now faces charges related to the theft, and the investigation remains ongoing.
