Jamshedpur police arrested three young men from the Kadma police station area on Monday for allegedly planning to murder a member of a rival gang. The accused — Md Ifran, Md Saif Ali Khan, and Md Afasar Khan — all in their twenties, were apprehended in Shastrinagar Block 2 during the early hours of the day.
While two other gang members managed to escape, police recovered a country-made pistol, a revolver, and four live bullets from the trio.
SSP Kishore Kaushal confirmed the arrests came after a tip-off and said a special team was led by SP (City) Kumar Shivashish to capture the suspects. Preliminary investigations indicate that the arrested individuals are part of a gang operated by an accused known as Gora. The gang was reportedly plotting to eliminate a rival gang member linked to the notorious criminal Md Salman.
Police are continuing their investigation to apprehend other gang members involved.
