Maykel Hernandez, Javier Guerra-Morales Get 30 Years for Heists

ATLANTA, GA โ€“ Three men have pleaded guilty to a multi-state jewelry store burglary spree, causing losses of $1.3 million, according to the Cherokee County District Attorneyโ€™s Office.

The Convicted Men:
๐Ÿ”น Maykel Olides Hernandez โ€“ 30-year sentence, 13 years in confinement
๐Ÿ”น Javier Guerra-Morales โ€“ 20-year sentence, 9 years in confinement
๐Ÿ”น Giorge Navea โ€“ 25-year sentence, 10 years in confinement

The Crimes:
Locations: Georgia (Cherokee, Forsyth, Cobb, Fulton Counties) & Knox County, TN
Timeframe: December 2022 โ€“ March 2023
Method: The trio cut through roofs to disable alarms, making the thefts appear as false alerts
Charges: Violation of RICO Act, smash and grab burglary, theft, criminal damage, and possession of burglary tools
Additional Penalties:
โœ… $1.3M restitution
โœ… Banned from Cherokee County
โœ… No contact with each other

Authorities say their highly coordinated tactics caused significant damage to the targeted businesses.
