Matthew Wright Jailed for Six Years for Arson Near Malvern Link Station

A man who set fire to a house near Malvern Link train station, endangering the lives of two people asleep inside, has been sentenced to six years in prison.

Matthew Wright, 27, was charged with arson with intent to endanger life after Station House was deliberately set alight, causing significant damage to the property. Fortunately, nobody was injured in the incident, but the fire posed a serious threat to the lives of the victims.

At Worcester Crown Court on June 24, Wright was sentenced to six years in jail. In addition to the prison term, Wright was also issued an indefinite restraining order against the two victims of the fire.

The case highlights the dangers of deliberate arson and the significant impact it can have on the lives of those affected.
