Lafayette, CO – A Boulder County man, identified as Matthew Howard Cory, has been arrested and is facing multiple felony charges for distributing child sexual assault material (CSAM).

The Colorado Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force launched an investigation after being alerted to the distribution of explicit material. Investigators at the Boulder County Digital Forensics Lab traced the activity to Cory’s residence in the 1100 block of Chiron Street in Lafayette.

With a search warrant in hand, Boulder County SWAT and detectives searched his home, seizing several electronic devices that reportedly contained illegal material. Authorities determined that Cory had been actively distributing CSAM involving children under 12 years old.

Cory was arrested on March 14 and booked into the Boulder County Jail. He is facing seven counts of sexual exploitation of a child – distribution of CSAM and remains in custody on a $300,000 bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
