Maryland Woman Arrested in Connection with Attempted Bank Robbery

Marlissa Redd, 34, arrested for attempting to rob Wells Fargo in Annapolis

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Authorities have arrested Marlissa Lanae Redd, 34, of Trappe, Maryland, in connection with an attempted bank robbery that occurred at a Wells Fargo branch in Annapolis on January 16, 2025.

According to police, Redd entered the bank located on Jennifer Road at approximately 10:45 a.m. and implied she had a handgun while demanding money from the teller. The teller refused, and Redd fled the scene without displaying any weapon, authorities said.

Officers conducted an initial search of the area but were unable to locate Redd that day. Through further investigation, authorities were able to identify her as the suspect. On February 4, 2025, Redd was arrested at her residence in Trappe.

Redd has been charged with armed robbery, robbery, and attempted theft between $1,500 and $25,000. She is currently being held without bond.
