Elizabethtown Man Arrested with 17 Pounds of Crystal Meth, Other Drugs
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — An Elizabethtown man was arrested on Friday after authorities discovered a large amount of drugs during a search on Bardstown Road, just east of Elizabethtown.
The Hardin County Drug Enforcement Task Force executed a search warrant in the area on Friday afternoon, leading to the arrest of 41-year-old Marvin Brookins. The search resulted in the seizure of:
17 pounds of crystal meth
54 grams of cocaine
16 Oxycodone pills
Marijuana
Steroids
Brookins has been charged with multiple drug offenses, including:
Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 2nd Offense (Cocaine)
Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Oxycodone)
Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 2nd Offense (Methamphetamine)
Trafficking in Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a school
Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Degree (Anabolic Steroid)
Possession of Marijuana
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
The Hardin County Drug Enforcement Task Force announced that further charges are expected as the investigation continues, and additional suspects may be implicated in connection to the bust.
