ALBANY, NY — A 22-year-old Albany man, Marshall Gause, has been indicted on multiple firearm and drug possession charges, Albany County District Attorney Lee C. Kindlon announced Tuesday.

Gause faces a four-count indictment including second-degree and third-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon, and third- and fourth-degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.

The charges followed a search warrant executed on August 6 at a residence on First Avenue in Watervliet. Police reported that Gause threw a bag out of a window as officers entered the apartment. The bag was recovered outside and contained a loaded handgun with an extended magazine holding 29 rounds.

Authorities also found cocaine during the search.

Gause pleaded not guilty and was remanded to Albany County Jail with bail set at $50,000 cash, $100,000 bond, or $150,000 partially secured bond.
