JENKINS COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) — Four people were arrested after a major multi-agency drug operation uncovered methamphetamine, crack cocaine, cocaine, marijuana, firearms, and thousands of dollars in cash in Jenkins County, according to the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office (ECSO).

Law enforcement executed two search warrants—one at the Sunset Inn and another at a residence on Old Waynesboro Road. The operation involved the ECSO Drug Suppression Unit, Jenkins County Sheriff’s Office, Bryan County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit, and Rincon Police Department K-9 Unit.

Arrested at the Sunset Inn:

Shavelle Lovette and Karen Summers were charged with:

Possession of methamphetamine, psilocybin, and other controlled substances with intent to distribute

Possession of drug distribution tools

Use of a communication device to facilitate a felony

Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

Artravious Adams was charged with:

Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute

Possession of tools for commission of a felony

Arrested on Old Waynesboro Road:

Marquette Wadley was charged with:

Possession of cocaine, crack cocaine, and marijuana with intent to distribute

Jenkins County Sheriff Robert Oglesby deputized ECSO investigators to assist with the search and arrests. The large quantity of drugs, weapons, and cash points to what officials say was a significant drug distribution operation.
