Two women were arrested last month in separate retail theft incidents in Orland Park, police confirmed.
Marlyn C. Villalobos, 54, of the 9700 block of Crescent Park Circle, was arrested on June 10 after allegedly stealing from Von Maur at 4 Orland Square Drive. Officers recovered a $320 handbag and also found a stolen bracelet inside her purse. Villalobos was issued a lifetime ban from the store and is scheduled to appear in court on July 22 at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
In a second case, Michelle L. Watson, 40, of Tinley Park, was arrested on June 13 at Kohl’s located at 3 Orland Park Place. Watson reportedly refused to exit her vehicle when approached by police. Officers removed her and discovered $552 in stolen merchandise in the back seat. She was charged with retail theft and driving with a suspended or revoked license. Watson also received a lifetime trespass notice and was transported for a court appearance.
Police say both arrests are part of ongoing efforts to reduce retail theft in the area.
