Marlon Thomas Arrested for Contractor Fraud in Jefferson Parish

JEFFERSON PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A man accused of contractor fraud has been arrested following an investigation by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office (JPSO). Marlon Thomas, 50, was taken into custody on Friday, May 3, after several complaints were filed against him in 2022 and 2023.

Authorities revealed that Thomas is facing charges of residential contractor fraud, exploitation of the infirm, and theft valued at over $25,000. The investigation also uncovered that Thomas is wanted for similar offenses in other Louisiana jurisdictions, suggesting that there may be more victims and additional charges forthcoming.

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is encouraging anyone who may have been affected by Thomas’s alleged fraudulent activities to contact Detective Robert Stoltz of the Property Crimes Section at 504-364-5300 to file a report.
