SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Authorities seized 1,500 pounds of marijuana and arrested three men following a large-scale drug bust in Shelby Township on November 6, officials announced.
The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office said deputies executed four search warrants at three homes and a business in connection with an ongoing investigation.
In addition to marijuana, officers confiscated hundreds of THC vape pens, gummies, and edibles, along with five firearms, approximately $380,000 in cash, five vehicles, and small quantities of crack cocaine, ketamine, and mushrooms.
Three Shelby Township residents — Mark Gojcaj, 21, Fabio Asmar, 30, and Martino Abed, 35 — were taken into custody.
Investigators allege the trio operated a “sophisticated, multi-state trafficking network”, distributing bulk marijuana shipments ranging from 6 to 150 pounds, primarily to buyers outside Michigan.
All three suspects face multiple felony charges, including delivery and manufacture of more than 45 kilograms of marijuana, conspiracy to commit controlled substance delivery or manufacture, and maintaining a drug house.
The investigation remains ongoing, according to the sheriff’s office.
