OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Three men have been arrested in connection with the fatal beating of 47-year-old Tommy Benson outside the Enclave Event Center early Saturday morning.
According to police, a large fight erupted at the venue, and officers arrived to find Benson unconscious and bleeding. Witnesses say the fight was physical, involving punches, kicks, and a chair used as a weapon. Benson was rushed to the hospital but later died from his injuries.
Authorities identified Mario Dewayne Glover, Kaleb Harris, and Jarmey Dewayne Jones as the primary suspects. They were taken into custody and charged with second-degree murder.
At the time of the fight, an R&B concert was taking place at the venue. The concert’s organizer later shared condolences with Benson’s family.
Local resident Terry Brayton, who lives near the event center, said the venue is always busy, but he has never seen violence of this magnitude before.
Police confirmed that formal charges are still pending as the investigation continues.
