Maria Posada Canizales Charged in Deadly NH Hit-and-Run

27-year-old surrendered after fatal Taco Bell crash

A 27-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred in the parking lot of a Taco Bell restaurant in Manchester, New Hampshire.

According to Manchester Police, Maria Camila Posada Canizales surrendered to authorities on Monday after a warrant was issued for her arrest. She is being held on a charge of conduct after an accident and is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.

The crash occurred around 6:40 p.m. on September 17 in the parking lot of the Taco Bell located at 1050 Second Street. When officers arrived, they found 60-year-old Juliana Harbeck, of Rindge, suffering from serious injuries.

Harbeck was transported to a local hospital but later died from her injuries.

Police said their investigation revealed that Harbeck had been struck by a vehicle and that the driver had fled the scene. Posada Canizales was later identified as the suspect, and a warrant was secured for her arrest.

Further details about the circumstances of the crash have not yet been released.
