Maria Pineda Arrested After Standoff in West El Paso

23-Year-Old Faced Multiple Warrants, Including Family Violence

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A 23-year-old woman with multiple warrants was arrested following a long standoff with authorities in West El Paso.

The El Paso County Constable Office Precinct Three reported that Maria Pineda was taken into custody on Wednesday on the 6900 block of Escondido Drive after resisting arrest for an extended period.

Pineda had several active warrants, including:

A Personal Recognizance Bond revocation warrant for continuous family violence ($50,000 bond).
A probation warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle (no bond).
A probation warrant for DWI ($12,000 bond).
Authorities said the family violence charges stem from an incident in July 2024, while the DWI charge dates back to June 2022, and the vehicle theft case to June 2021.

Following her arrest, Pineda was booked into the El Paso County Jail, where she remains in custody .
