Manitowoc, WI — Two Manitowoc residents, Eric Neal and Jessica Hayes, were arrested on February 16 for their involvement in obtaining and distributing large quantities of cocaine following a three-month investigation. The investigation, led by the Manitowoc County Metro Drug Unit and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in Green Bay, culminated in their arrest.

Authorities had received information suggesting Neal and Hayes were involved in the illegal distribution of cocaine within the City of Manitowoc. On February 16, a coordinated traffic stop by the Wisconsin State Patrol, the Metro Drug Unit, and the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the seizure of one kilogram of cocaine from their vehicle on Interstate 43.

A subsequent search of the suspects’ home uncovered additional drugs, including cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and cash believed to be from narcotic sales.

Neal and Hayes face the following charges:

Distributing cocaine
Possession of cocaine with intent to deliver
Possession of marijuana
Keeper of a drug house
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Neglect of a child (exposure to drug distribution)
Drug offense repeater
Both suspects were granted a $50,000 cash bail after a February 17 court appearance and are scheduled for an initial appearance on February 24. They remain in custody at the Manitowoc County Jail.

This operation highlights the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat drug trafficking and distribution in the region. Further details will be provided as the investigation continues.
