In a significant drug bust, Manipur Police apprehended two drug smugglers in front of Patsoi Police Station in Imphal West district, seizing a large quantity of suspected contraband ganja. The arrested individuals were identified as Kayenbam Kenedi Singh (36) and Keisam Sarat Singh (55).
Police recovered 26 packets of suspected ganja, weighing approximately 274.8 kg, wrapped in black polythene. Along with the drugs, a Tata truck, a mobile handset, a small money bag containing Rs 3,830, and an Aadhaar card were also seized during the operation.
According to the police report, both the arrested individuals and the seized items have been handed over to Patsoi Police Station for further legal action.
