MANCHESTER, UK — A 32-year-old local man, Randy Katanga, was arrested Wednesday night in connection with a stabbing that occurred earlier this week on Union Street.
Police say Katanga has been charged with first-degree assault after a violent altercation on Tuesday evening left a man injured. The victim was reportedly slashed on his right biceps during the fight at approximately 5:30 p.m. near 434 Union Street.
Katanga was scheduled to appear in Manchester District Court on Thursday for arraignment. The investigation is ongoing as authorities seek further details regarding the incident.
