MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) — A federal judge sentenced Gordon Jay Wyman III this week to a total of 10 years in prison for fentanyl trafficking and gun charges. The sentencing was announced by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Alabama on Friday.
On November 5, U.S. District Court Judge William H. Steele sentenced Wyman to five years for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute fentanyl throughout the Mobile area, and another five years for possessing a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.
Wyman pleaded guilty to both charges, and his sentences will be served consecutively, totaling 10 years in federal prison. After serving his sentence, he will be placed on five years of supervised release.
