The Bindayaka police station in Jaipur, Rajasthan, has arrested a man in connection with a Rs 311 lakh fraud case involving a local businessman, Dinesh Fatehpuria. The fraud occurred when the accused, Sandeep Kansal, also known as Sandeep Agarwal, lured the businessman with promises of securing government tenders for the supply of HDPE plastic pipes.

According to the police, the complainant, Dinesh Fatehpuria, runs a firm named Arihant, which deals in HDPE pipes. On January 9, 2020, Fatehpuria made a payment of Rs 31,05,996 for the purchase and supply of pipes from Sandeep’s company. However, after receiving the payment, Sandeep shut down his Jaipur office and failed to supply the ordered goods. Despite repeated attempts to contact him, Sandeep did not return the money.

Following the complaint, the Bindayaka police formed a special investigation team. Using intelligence gathering and technical assistance, the team was able to track down and arrest Sandeep from Kanpur on Monday evening. He was then brought back to Jaipur for further interrogation.

The police are continuing their investigation into the case and working to uncover more details about the fraudulent activities.
