RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office investigated a theft on October 29, 2025, after a moped was reported stolen from US Hwy 311 in Archdale.
The Criminal Interdiction Team Urban Unit recovered the moped the following day on Elmont Street in Trinity.
Authorities identified 29-year-old Travis Michael Wood as a suspect. He faces felony larceny and felony possession of stolen goods charges. A magistrate issued a warrant for his arrest.
Wood was taken into custody on November 6, 2025, and held at the Randolph County Detention Center without bond under the pretrial integrity act. His first court appearance is scheduled for November 7, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
