CECIL COUNTY, MD (WBFF) — A yearlong drug investigation has led to the arrest of Eddie Harley, a man accused of trafficking multiple kilograms of cocaine across Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
The Cecil County Drug Task Force, in coordination with the FBI Philadelphia and Delaware State Police Troop 2 Drug Unit, tracked Harley as he traveled northbound on I-95 in Baltimore on September 23.
According to authorities, Harley was observed making a stop in Philadelphia, where he allegedly picked up a controlled dangerous substance. Upon re-entering Delaware, state police initiated a traffic stop.
A K9 scan of the vehicle signaled the presence of drugs. A subsequent search warrant uncovered 1,252 grams of cocaine hidden in a sophisticated, electronically controlled compartment behind the car’s radio. The haul included a compressed kilogram brick and a separate bag of powder cocaine.
Harley now faces state drug trafficking charges in Delaware, and federal charges are under consideration, officials said.
The arrest marks a significant milestone in an ongoing effort to dismantle regional narcotics networks operating along the I-95 corridor.
