Jammu and Kashmir Police in Doda district have arrested Mahafuz Ahmed of Soti Dudwar village and a juvenile for allegedly stealing a 12-bore firearm from a local resident. The theft came to light after a complaint was registered at Gandoh Police Station on Wednesday.
During the investigation, police apprehended Mahafuz Ahmed, leading to the recovery of the stolen weapon. The juvenile involved was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) and sent to a remand home for 30 days.
Authorities confirmed that the investigation is ongoing to determine the motive behind the theft. The police have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity in the area to ensure prompt action.
