Miyapur Police have arrested two habitual offenders for allegedly breaking into a wine shop and stealing cash earlier this month. The accused were identified as Maddala Srinivasa Rao, 34, a driver with a ride-hailing platform, and Akash Kumar, 22, a mason.
Police sources stated that Srinivasa Rao is a repeat offender and has been involved in previous cases registered at Suraram Police Station and Petbasheerabad Police Station. Both accused have now been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway to determine if they are linked to other similar thefts in the area.
