NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — A narcotics raid earlier this month at a North Charleston motel resulted in the arrests of three individuals, who now face more than 50 combined charges related to illegal drugs and firearms.
The North Charleston Police Narcotics Unit and Intelligence Led Policing Unit executed a search warrant on August 4 at the North Charleston Lodge located in the 2500 block of Ashley Phosphate Road.
Arrested were:
Lushwanna Gathers-Drayton, 22
Jerome Simmons Jr., 37
Glenn Jerome Ferguson, 48
During the search, investigators recovered:
Cocaine base, cocaine, methamphetamine, ecstasy, and fentanyl
Three firearms
Rifle magazines with ammunition
A digital scale and drug paraphernalia
“This operation reflects our department’s ongoing commitment to proactively identifying and disrupting illegal drug and gun activity in our community,” said Police Chief Ron Camacho.
All three suspects are being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
