TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) — The family of Casandrah Poole, a Tucson woman who was murdered over 15 months ago, is speaking out following the arrest of her accused killer, Luke Davis.
Davis, now in custody at the Pima County Jail, was arrested on July 25 after a months-long investigation that began in March 2024. Poole’s body was discovered near East Stella Road and South Wilmot Road, showing signs of sharp force trauma. Authorities believe she was stabbed to death.
The investigation took a major turn when the FBI became involved, utilizing forensic genealogy and confirming that Davis’ DNA matched the suspect profile. A judge has since set Davis’ bond at $1 million.
Poole’s mother, Victoria Poole, described the emotional relief of hearing the news:
“That phone call was amazing. For them to get the FBI involved and the reserve genealogy—that was amazing.”
Her aunt, Genie Henderson, called for maximum accountability:
“He deserves a life sentence in prison. Why should he get to see his family and friends when he took that away from us?”
Victoria also remembered her daughter as a “people person” who was on the path to turning her life around.
The case remains active as the family continues to seek justice.
