Luis Concepcion Arrested in Londonderry Robbery Case

Manchester man accused in liquor theft and Market Basket assault

LONDONDERRY, N.H. — A Manchester man was arrested Monday morning following alleged thefts at two Londonderry stores, including an incident that led to a felony robbery charge.

According to the Londonderry Police Department, officers were first dispatched around 10:30 a.m. to the New Hampshire State Liquor and Wine Outlet on Rockingham Road after reports of shoplifting. A man allegedly stole nearly $110 worth of Don Julio tequila and fled in a Subaru.

While investigating, officers received another call from Market Basket on Michels Way regarding a shoplifting and assault.

Police said a suspect was being detained in the parking lot by a Market Basket employee and two witnesses, including an off-duty police officer. The suspect, identified as Luis Concepcion, 54, of Manchester, allegedly stole $149 worth of merchandise.

When confronted by a loss prevention officer who attempted to photograph his vehicle, Concepcion allegedly assaulted the employee. Officers later observed three bottles of Don Julio tequila on the front seat of his green Subaru.

Concepcion was arrested and charged with:

Felony robbery

Theft by unauthorized taking (felony due to prior convictions)

Theft

Receiving stolen property

Simple assault

Disorderly conduct

He was held on preventative detention and scheduled for arraignment Tuesday.
