A 40-year-old Londonderry man, Ludwig Haken, was arrested Saturday morning following a standoff at a Manchester hotel involving a SWAT team, authorities said.

Police responded to the Comfort Inn on Queen City Avenue around 10:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a possible violation of a bail protection order. Haken was reportedly inside a room with a woman at the time.

When officers arrived and instructed Haken to come to the door, he refused to comply. Concerned that he might be armed, officers withdrew and called in the SWAT team.

SWAT officers later took Haken into custody without incident. He has been charged with stalking and resisting arrest and was scheduled to be arraigned on Monday.

The woman in the room was unharmed, according to police.
