SHREVEPORT, La. — Lucas Logan, 31, a Stonewall resident, is in custody after being arrested on serious charges related to the sexual assault and attempted murder of a child in Shreveport.
Deputies from the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a call early Saturday morning at a residence on Farmridge Road in Keithville. Upon arrival, they discovered a young child who had been sexually assaulted and left lifeless. The victim was immediately transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Logan was taken into custody and booked at the Caddo Correctional Center, where he is being held without bond. He faces charges of first-degree rape and attempted first-degree murder.
This arrest follows Logan’s history of violent behavior. In May 2024, he was arrested for domestic abuse aggravated assault after allegedly pulling a shotgun on two people, including the mother of his child, while the child was present. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during that incident.
In addition to this, Logan has a prior conviction for simple battery in 2015. His criminal record also includes arrests for DWI, drug offenses, disturbing the peace, felony theft, and various traffic violations.
Logan recently pleaded guilty to lesser charges in a separate case and was sentenced to two years in prison with credit for time served. He was also ordered to attend anger management classes and to have no contact with the victim.
Authorities continue to investigate the case as more details emerge.
