Liverpool, UK – A Liverpool man has been sentenced to five years and three months in prison for his involvement in supplying Class A drugs.
Following an Operation Toxic investigation, Idris Vickers, 53, of Pittville Grove, Mossley Hill, was identified as the controller of a graft device that distributed heroin and crack cocaine in the L8 area between November 2024 and February 2025.
Vickers was arrested on February 11, 2025, in possession of the graft device, drugs, and over £3,000 in cash. He was charged with:
Being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine
Possession with intent to supply cocaine
Possession of criminal property
The drugs line was valued between £32,112 and £80,280.
Appearing before Liverpool Crown Court on March 25, Vickers was sentenced to five years and three months in prison.
Police Crack Down on County Lines Gangs
Detective Inspector Gary Stratton condemned County Lines gangs, stating:
“These criminals exploit young and vulnerable people, using threats and violence to push their drugs trade.”
Merseyside Police leads the national County Lines crackdown through Project Medusa, aiming to dismantle criminal groups operating across the country.
“We remain relentless in our pursuit of these criminals and ending their drugs trade,” Stratton added.
