A Tamarac man, Lincoln Garfield Lettman, 33, was arrested on February 24 and charged with grand theft after allegedly stealing more than $10,000 while working as a teller at Fifth Third Bank.

The thefts reportedly occurred between December 2025 and January 2026 at the bank’s location on 2525 North University Drive in Coral Springs. Investigators say surveillance footage captured multiple incidents:

On January 9, Lettman processed a $55,898 transaction but allegedly separated $1,000 from the cash and failed to return it.

On January 20, he reportedly removed $265 from a teller drawer and concealed it before entering the vault.

On January 26, Lettman allegedly took two cash straps totaling $9,350, placed them in his pants, and balanced the drawer without reporting a shortage.

When confronted, Lettman reportedly confessed to taking cash from customer deposits on at least four occasions, citing financial struggles prior to his employment.

The Coral Springs Police Department confirmed that Fifth Third Bank provided internal reports, victim statements, and surveillance footage to support the investigation.

Lettman was booked into Broward County Main Jail, and authorities are continuing to investigate the full scope of the alleged theft.
