Lexington Park, MD – A 23-year-old woman is facing multiple charges in connection to separate domestic violence incidents, including second-degree assault and violating a protective order, according to St. Mary’s County District Court records.
Incident 1: Domestic Assault on February 19
On February 19, 2025, officers responded to a domestic disturbance at Briscoe’s home on Gordon Court. A male family member reported that Briscoe struck him multiple times with a mop, causing visible injuries.
A witness corroborated the victim’s account, stating Briscoe had acted violently in the past. Deputies documented scratches on the victim’s chest and right arm.
Briscoe was issued a criminal summons on March 7 and is scheduled for a preliminary inquiry on April 11, 2025.
Incident 2: Protective Order Violation on March 4
In a separate case, Briscoe is charged with:
✅ Violation of a protective order
✅ Resisting arrest
✅ Disorderly conduct
On March 4, 2025, officers found Briscoe outside the same residence, despite a court order prohibiting contact. When deputies attempted to arrest her, she resisted, pushed officers, and grabbed a deputy’s handcuffs.
During the struggle, a body-worn camera fell, and Briscoe picked it up while continuing to yell, drawing attention from neighbors.
She was taken into custody but later released on her own recognizance.
Ongoing Legal Proceedings
Both cases remain active in St. Mary’s County District Court, with upcoming hearings scheduled.
