Two alleged leaders of a violent online child exploitation network have been arrested and charged with running what officials call one of the most heinous online child exploitation enterprises ever uncovered.
Leonidas Varagiannis, 21, also known online as “War,” and 20-year-old Prasan Nepal, aka “Trippy,” face potential life imprisonment for crimes involving coercing vulnerable children into producing explicit content under threats and manipulation. Some victims were as young as 13, according to the Justice Department.
U.S. Attorney Edward R. Martin Jr. described the case as “every parent’s nightmare,” highlighting the staggering number of victims and the depravity involved.
The network, known as 764, operated from late 2020 to early 2025 via encrypted messaging apps. Varagiannis and Nepal led a core subgroup, directing and participating in the production and distribution of child sexual abuse material. The FBI noted the defendants recruited others and created guides for the abusive content.
Nepal was arrested in North Carolina last week. Varagiannis was apprehended in Greece, where he currently resides, and is opposing extradition, citing Greek jurisdiction.
